Low-temperature Thermochronometry: Theory and applications

主講人簡介：
Professor Daniel F. Stockli, who got his Ph.D degree in Stanford University, works in Department of Geological Sciences, University of Texas at Austin now. His research focuses on (1) Integrated application of thermochronology and geochronology to tectonic and geological problems to better understand the temporal and thermal aspects of tectonic, petrologic, stratigraphic, and geomorphologic processes. (2) Geo- and Thermochronometry technique development, calibration, and bench marking, with special emphasis on development of new thermochronmeters (e.g., monazite, rutile, and magnetite) and novel applications (e.g., geoarcheology, isotopic provenance, etc.). So far, he has published nearly 90 papers (with ~2200 citations) in the geological Journals as Geology, Earth and Planetary Science Letters, Tectonics, Tectonophysics.
