李平平，男，湖南慈利人，1980年6月生。博士,，教授，博士生導(dǎo)師,。
2003年和2006年畢業(yè)于中國(guó)地質(zhì)大學(xué)（武漢）,，分別獲得資源勘查工程專(zhuān)業(yè)學(xué)士學(xué)位和礦產(chǎn)普查與勘探專(zhuān)業(yè)碩士學(xué)位,，2009年畢業(yè)于中國(guó)石油大學(xué)（北京），獲得地質(zhì)資源與地質(zhì)工程專(zhuān)業(yè)博士學(xué)位,。2009年10月留校工作至今,，期間：2016年6月晉升為副教授，2016.8-2017.8月在美國(guó)加州理工學(xué)院做訪問(wèn)學(xué)者,，2017年1月聘任為學(xué)術(shù)型碩士生導(dǎo)師,，2020年聘任為學(xué)術(shù)型博士生導(dǎo)師，2022年6月聘任為中國(guó)石油大學(xué)（北京）碳酸鹽巖研究中心主任,，2022年7月晉升為教研崗教授,，2022年9月聘任為工程博士生導(dǎo)師。
主要從事碳酸鹽巖儲(chǔ)層地質(zhì)學(xué)和油氣成藏機(jī)理方面的研究工作,。參加的主要科研項(xiàng)目包括：中科院戰(zhàn)略先導(dǎo)專(zhuān)項(xiàng),、國(guó)家科技重大專(zhuān)項(xiàng)、國(guó)家重點(diǎn)基礎(chǔ)研究發(fā)展計(jì)劃（973）,、國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金重點(diǎn)項(xiàng)目,、面上項(xiàng)目和青年基金項(xiàng)目、中石油科技創(chuàng)新基金項(xiàng)目等10余項(xiàng),。主要科研成果包括：第一作者或通訊作者公開(kāi)發(fā)表論文28篇,，獲發(fā)明專(zhuān)利2項(xiàng)，獲省部級(jí)三等獎(jiǎng)1項(xiàng),。擔(dān)任《Petroleum Science》,、《石油科學(xué)通報(bào)》、《石油實(shí)驗(yàn)地質(zhì)》青年編委,，《天然氣勘探與開(kāi)發(fā)》編委,。
